LIDO announces ambitious development plans

Taking the next step in the company’s development, LIDO is launching a large-scale project – the creation of a new production, warehouse, and office building, LIDO House. More than €40 million is planned to be invested in the project.

LIDO House will be built in a historic location

As part of the LIDO House project, a section of the historic Riga Radiotehnika factory building (Kurzemes prospekts 3D) will be redeveloped. This approach will not only preserve the industrial heritage but also contribute to improving the urban environment through socially responsible development.The project includes a complete renovation of the building’s technical infrastructure and its adaptation for LIDO’s food production, storage, and administrative needs.

Project goals

The opening of the new production facility will provide the company with greater growth opportunities and strengthen its competitiveness, including the potential to expand into the Lithuanian market. LIDO House will become a strategic resource that will allow the company to:

  • Combine production, logistics, and office functions in one modern complex
  • Increase production capacity to 100 tons per day, enabling more efficient service for growing demand
  • Obtain FSSC 22000 food safety certification, ensuring compliance with internationally recognized quality and safety standards
  • Provide jobs for approximately 250 employees
  • Achieve the BREEAM sustainability certification, demonstrating a commitment to sustainable business practices

The core of a new retail park

LIDO House will be located in an 88,000 m² retail park.

  • The complex will include tenants such as:“Apollo Kino”, “Skypark”, “Euronics”, “KFC”, “Sportland”, “Sinsay” u.c.
  • LIDO House will occupy 16,000 m², becoming the largest tenant in the park.

Total investments in the retail park will reach €100 million, while the development of LIDO House alone will exceed €40 million.

Owners and developers

The project owners and developers are SIA “KP4” and SIA “KP3”, with whom LIDO has signed a long-term lease agreement for 20 years. Both companies are owned by Estonian entrepreneur Ivar Vendelin. The architectural and technical solutions for the project were developed by the architecture and engineering bureau SEP.
